Assessment Criteria for Presentations and Seminar Discussion
Seminar presentation – ASSESSEMENT CRITERIA
- Knowledge and understanding of the readings and general literature as appropriate to the task.
Meaning: you have read the recommended / required readings and any other additional reading directed at you. You are able to summarize the main arguments, and can critically interact with the text.
- Clarity and succinctness of contribution to discussion or assigned presentation
Meaning: You are able to focus your contribution and clearly identify the main threads or arguments that are made in the text. You are also able to give some idea of other critiques and positioning regarding the point and position you are taking.
3 Appropriate use of audiovisual aids.
Meaning: you take the initiative to see whether there are appropriate YouTube or other visual aids to illustrate your point or presentation.
- Ability to handle questions and contribute to discussion ( including other presentations)
Meaning: You are prepared to answer questions related to your presentations and to think beyond the box of your material and that you engage with the presentations of your student colleagues and are prepared to ask questions or contribute to their presentations.
